Tsugaru Kanayama” pottery is made from high-quality resources found at a local reservoir in Tsugaru, Aomori prefecture. These pottery pieces are made using the "Black Hidasuki (Sueki)", a technique that uses an underground or semi-underground climbing kiln to perform reduction firing　(Kangen-shosei) at high temperatures without introducing oxygen. The lack of oxygen exhibits a unique bluish-charcoal gray color, low water absorption, and high hardness. This unglazed pottery has a rough texture. The more you use it, the more the color and luster change, becoming unique to you.

Our latest Kanayama pottery collection, named 'Kumogata,' features a gently undulating rim reminiscent of clouds, providing both a visual allure and a comfortable grip.

The appearance, color, shape, and size may vary depending on the season, resulting in a distinct character. Not suitable for use in an oven and a microwave. Dishwasher safe.

This medium bowl serves appetizers, small individual salads, side dishes, or desserts.
